The transportation infrastructure at one of Catawba Indian Nation’s key housing subdivisions became deficient over time due to excessive wear on the roadway and the consistently increased need for residential parking adjacent to the homes. Qk4 was able to provide cost-effective solutions (utilizing the existing pavement for reclamation and widening) while serving the Tribe’s needs and additionally providing multiple safety improvements. Many of the safety improvements were accomplished with minimal cost items, such as the application of effective signing and striping.
