This year??s annual Al J. Schneider Leadership Luncheon took place March 6, 2011 at the Galt House, it was hosted by the Lincoln Heritage Council. Former University of Louisville head football coach Lee Corso of ESPN and University of Louisville??s current head football coach Charlie Strong, were featured speakers at the luncheon. This luncheon is expected to raise another $300,000.
The Lincoln Heritage Council began in 1912, it has eight geographical districts and three service areas. The Boy Scouts of America Lincoln Heritage Council is one of the oldest local councils serving both urban and rural areas in the United States. Lincoln Heritage Council #205 is composed of 25 counties??19 in North Central Kentucky and 6 in South Central Indiana.
Qk4 is a long time supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. Our contribution and involvement with the Annual Al J. Schneider Leadership Luncheon marks 16 years of consecutive support of local Boy Scouts. Nearly half of our employees participated in Boy Scouts, and some are current leaders in scouting.
Scouting research shows that one in four boys in America will become Scouts; and, it is interesting to note, three out of four of this nation??s leaders in business, religion, and politics were Boy Scouts.
