February 25, 2012, Roman Catholic Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz rededicated the newly renovated sanctuary of St. Rose Church. “What a beautiful job you have done,” he said to the church filled to capacity.
Qk4, Inc., prepared construction documents for the structural improvements of the sanctuary. The entire platform was removed and replaced, new concrete grade beams were placed for supporting the new floor, the crawl space walls were tuck pointed, and new finishes were added. Ancillary work included the replacement of the existing furnaces, the addition of lights and receptacles, reconfiguration of furnishings, installation of a new wood floor with marble inlay, and interior painting.
St. Rose is a historic church that has occupied a hilltop in Springfield, Washington County, Kentucky, since 1806. Now it’s ready for another 200+ years!
