The large project category consists of projects whose initial contract price exceeds $5,000,000. Along with overall performance and timeliness of completed work, the projects are judged on the following criteria:

Construction on the SR 34 (Bristol Highway) project, from SR 36Ā (US 19W) to SR 381 in Johnson City, Washington County, Tennessee,Ā began inĀ February 2011 and was completed in November 2012.Ā This 0.64-mile section of SR 34 was widened to include additional traffic lanes to reduce traffic delays and congestion and improve safety.
