Doug Heberle of Qk4 gave a presentation to the Transportation Technical Coordinating Committee (TTCC) of the Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA) on the recently completed Prospect Mobility Study. KIPDA is the Louisville Metropolitan Planning Organization and major sponsor of this project. The Study focused on providing walking and biking opportunities as alternatives to driving on US 42. Sidewalks, multi-use trails, bicycle facilities, and increased connectivity projects were identified and prioritized. The study process as well as the existing conditions data, public input, and final recommendations were presented to the meeting attendees.
Mayor Todd Eberle praised the study, noting:
“We are extremely pleased with the detail and the readability of this Report. We sought a plan for alternative transportation projects which would enhance walk-ability and bicycling activity in the city.Ā This Study gave us just that.”
