Join us in welcoming Abdul Amin as a full time Instrument Man in our Survey Department. Abdul will be working from our Frankfort, KY branch office.

Abdul graduated college in 2008 with a degree in surveying and surveyed for 14 years in Afghanistan before moving to the United States. Previously he worked with the US military performing survey layouts on military bases in Afghanistan. His favorite thing about his job is working with GPS technology and says he loves working outside.

Originally Abdul says he wanted to be a doctor, but that didn’t work out. Instead, he chose surveying as his career choice. “Surveying is great for me because every day I get to go to a new place to work and I get to see different places and things I normally wouldn’t see. I decided to work at Qk4 because it gave me the opportunity to get back to surveying after I had moved to America.”

Outside of work, Abdul likes to garden. While he doesn’t currently have a garden, he says he has a lot of knowledge from gardening back home. “We had a large garden and grew a lot of food for our family.”
